In September 2013, Michelle was appointed as Assistant Headteacher. She did this along with her role of EYFS (FS2) Lead. She also supported other schools by working with them in their setting or working with them in Bedale school.
In September 2019, Michelle became Deputy Headteacher and Deputy Safeguarding lead alongside EYFS Lead. She assists the Headteacher with the strategic development of the school. She has a strong understanding of the EYFS curriculum and can work alongside you with:
- assessment and tracking
- continuous provision
- observations
- transition to Year One
- planning
- forming relationships with families
- supporting teaching assistants
